No doubt, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are Ghana's biggest artists right now.

According Keche's former manager George Britton, the local music industry would not survive without the three artists as they are the reason why it is thriving.

This might be true given that all three trend every other day on social media and Britton says this kind of buzz is what keeps the industry alive.

However Shatta Wale's manager Bulldog disagrees strongly with these statements.

“I do not agree with George Britton’s assertion on the music scene collapsing due to Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale’s absence. I do not even think those artistes would agree with him"

These artists should however work and pave the way for the next generation of artists. He also added that artists don't have to rely on just music to survive in the industry.

If Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale agree to the music industry collapsing without them, then it means they are working in vain. An artiste doesn’t necessarily have to release hit songs to become relevance. An artiste can have merchandises made for them, being out there, all are ways one can remain relevant”

Whose side are you on?
