Gyakie, born Jacqueline Acheampong on December 16, 1998, is a professional afrobeat and afro singer from Ghana. In August 2020, the "Forever" song from Gyakie's five-track EP, titled "Seed," became her claim to fame, gaining airtime and topping charts in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. In 2019, Gyakie released her first single, titled; "Love is Pretty," which opened the door for another single, "Never Like This." The father of Gyakie is Nana Acheampong.

Gyakie is the famous highlife musician Ernest Nana Acheampong's (also known by his stage name Nana Acheampong) daughter.

The well-known half of Ghana's highlife music duo, the Lumba brothers, is Nana Acheampong.

Gyakie's Mother

There are a few exceptions to the rule, which is often true of celebrity wives who are well-known.

The only name given for Gyakie's mother is Mrs. Miriam Acheampong. She recently entered the public realm after being seen at a birthday celebration.

Career

Gyakie began her musical career at a young age, and by the age of 8, she was beginning to work with her father in the studio.

With her father's extensive musical history, Gyakie quickly began honing her vocal abilities.

Gyakie's music career professionally took off in 2019 after she connected with Sosa, a song producer from Nigeria, on the KNUST campus.

Gyakie fell in love with one specific rhythm after Sosa had created a few for her, and that is how the trip began.

Gyakie's cool reggae love ballad "Love is Pretty"—her debut single—was published in February 2019.

The singer followed it up by releasing the well-known song "Never like this," which catapulted her to fame and has received more than 1 million views on YouTube.

Gyakie released "Sor Mi Mu," a song that features Bisa Kdei of the Highlife genre, on March 13th, 2020. The song has received over 4,000 likes on YouTube so far.

Gyakie released her debut Extended Play (EP), titled "SEED," in August 2020.

Massive radio play has been given to the Seed EP song "Forever" in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. Additionally, it has topped music categories like the Top 200 lists on Shazam and Billboard's Top Triller Global.

Gyakie and Nigerian artist Omah Lay collaborated on the eagerly awaited remix of "Forever," which was released on March 25th, 2021.

Gyakie was raised in Kumasi, a city in Ghana's Ashanti Region. She finished T.I. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she majored in international business, after graduating from Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi.
