#EndSars has been trending for days after a number of violent attacks on Naija youths have been brought to light. Many are calling for the unit to be disbanded and for the perpetrators to face the law... and justice.
The dancehall star called for action against police brutality in a tweet to his 2,4 million followers.
He posted; "I have been following whatβs happening to our people in Nigeria and as someone who believes in freedom and justice, the rise of the streets, I will like to say these things must stop. Police brutality anywhere is a threat to nation building #StopPoliceBrutality #EndSARS."

Shatta also vowed to stand with the youth who are under attack, claiming he has a lot in common with them.
In a separate tweet he posted; "Shatta Wale came from the street and I will stand for the street and vulnerable. The ghetto youth also deserves better. Enough of the killings. We must embrace ourselves and support one another. The Police is supposed to protect life but not to take life #StopPoliceBrutality"
