Asamoah Gyan Suggests Traditional Treatment For Coronavirus

Asamoah Gyan may be a world famous soccer star with chao money and influence....but that doesn't mean he doesn't believe or still practise ancient Ghanaian traditions...

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the former Sunderland footballer is at home practising social distancing and revealed to his followers the precautions he was taking, including strengthening his immune system with an ancient herbal treatment called neem.

Taking to Twitter, Gyan reveal that the alternative medicine has a wide range of benefits, including healing and protective properties against illnesses.

Demonstrating how he uses it, Gyan sits over a bucket of steaming hot neem leaves, inhaling the vapour with a blanket over his head.

"That is our tradition...very good for your system...It helps during our quarantine.
I urge everybody to go back to our tradition," he said.

Gyan added that he was a big fan of neem, which he believes would protect the body from catching or being susceptible to cora cora.

He added; "Why don't you try it? You'll thank me later...."




Apart from giving us this invaluable advice, Gyan was also spotted in the streets of Accra distributing free hand sanitisers, face masks and other essentials.



He also urged fellow celebrities to give back to their community.

"This is the time I urge all the celebrities and all those who are fortunate to give back to the community. This is the time people need us...we have to protect one another"
